This Library is formed of the Cunninghams' books which we're willing to lend for up to three months at a time. We don't condone or agree with everything written in these (some of the books we love, some we vehemently disagree with!) but it is important for us to understand and engage fully with ideas we wish to fight. Please do make use of it - books requested during the week will be brought to the 4pm service the next Sunday.
Happy Reading!
- Love Thy Body - Nancy Pearcey
This is an absolute must-read for anyone wanting to think more deeply about why we believe what we believe about our bodies and how that informs our approach to thinking about sex or gender or abortion and a whole host of other important topics.
#Abortion #Transgender #Culture #Sexuality - Against Everything - Mark Greif
This is a series of brilliant cultural analysis essays, some of which are quite disturbing, but all of them deeply incisive. Greif takes a look at how our culture sexualises childhood, how we fetishise exercise and gawk at reality TV as well as answering crucial questions like 'Why did Hipsters come and go' and 'What are Radiohead on about?'
- Difficult Women - Helen Lewis
- Invisible Women - Caroline Criado-Perez
- Popologetics - Ted Turnau
- Dominion - Tom Holland
